About the Company

ESRI CIS was founded in May of 2008. The decision on the registration of a new company was made by the Presidents and Owners of two leading companies in the field of development and promotion of geoinformation technologies, namely of ESRI, Inc. (California, U.S.A.) and DATA+, Ltd. (Moscow, the Russian Federation).

Beginning with January 1, 2009, ESRI CIS becomes an Exclusive Distributor of Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI). The market territory of this new company includes nine countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The addition of ESRI CIS to the community of International Distributors is an important part of the strategy of ESRI to provide optimum corporate support of the users of ESRI software products.

The main directions of the Company’s activity

The main task of ESRI CIS is to disseminate the advanced geoinformation technologies of ESRI Inc. Geographic information systems (GIS) from ESRI, Inc. must become an integral part of the information field both in Russia and in other countries of CIS. To fulfill this task the main resources of ESRI CIS will be concentrated on the following:

• sales of ESRI software products and licenses;
• technical support of the software;
• localization of the software products;
• training;
• consulting of users and specialists who are interested in GIS;
• coordination of the activity of ESRI CIS Distributors;
• publishing of geoinformation literature;
• organization of user conferences and seminars, and participation in conferences, seminars and exhibitions on geoinformation thematic;
• rendering of support to educational and academic institutions of the CIS countries.

ESRI CIS and DATA+, ltd.

ESRI CIS will work in close cooperation with DATA+, which has served for 17 years and continues serving as a touchstone for GIS sales and support in the huge market of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Continuing sales of software in the capacity of a distributor of ESRI CIS, DATA+ will put special emphasis on professional services, including application development, Web-Services, implementation of GIS systems, and production of digital maps.  Joint activities between ESRI CIS and DATA+ will include the organization of user conferences and seminars, training, localization of software products, and publication of the quarterly ArcReview magazine.
